Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation Welcomes Two New Board Members

Sarasota, FL – July 27, 2017… In June, the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation Board welcomed two new members, Jeffrey Phipps, Sr., AWMA and John Shwiner. 

Jeffrey Phipps, Sr., senior member of the Phipps Group, earned his Accredited Wealth Management Advisor designation from The College for Financial Planning and has been working in the financial services industry since 1970 and at Merrill Lynch since 2008. Mr. Phipps also serves on the boards of the Lake Worth Drainage District, Mounts Botanical Garden and as the Director of the Palm Beach County Historical Society.

John Shwiner is a Vietnam veteran who worked for Gulf Oil/Chevron for over 40 years. He served as President of Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County’s “Student Crime Stoppers” program and was twice-awarded “Civilian of the Year” recognition. John is the Lead Volunteer at the FCS Clinic in Wellington and his other volunteer positions include: Vice-Chair of The Western Business Alliance, Chair of the Ambassador Committee, Volunteer Teacher for Junior Achievement, Group Lead for PBSO’s Community Advisory Group and Team Captain for the Wellington Neighborhood Watch program.

Their dedication and leadership have been invaluable to the Foundation; they are truly outstanding volunteers and amazing assets to the FCS Foundation Board,” said Brad Prechtl, Chairman of the Board of Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation and CEO of Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS).
